Out with the Families on the road

I am having a break   from the 2004-2006 diaries as this week 18th - 22nd August 2008  is  the start of yet more  demos, this time with street acting , so I have been out with the other families turning up outside the courts  in  Luton ,Hemel & Watford on the Hercules bus.

We go back to 2005 from the Fassit forum. About a 100 people turned up  back then in 2005   to a meeting chaired by John Hemmings Lib dem MP for Birmingham in council chambers, Justice for Families was launched to help support families navigate through the corruption of closed court.

So where are we 3 years down the line? ”The answer to this is:” this  we  are all struggling on regardless turning up for demos ,also trying to work are own cases”. There is still as yet note NO work shop for help with the paperwork which was said to be starting up to help parents who have sacked their solicitors and gone on to fight their cases.

Just maybe an MP will progress to getting government funding to help such stoic families, this surely would be a sound investment  in the long run, it WILL save so much for the tax-payer. Moving on now some of those parents have had the insight, or good fortunate to  have escaped this country, whilst  managing to take with them  their precious  children, in fact they are  turning their backs on this country in search of a better quality of life for their children ,and who can blame them .So we will have to say  good luck to them long may they run.

Rather than face a closed trial here in the UK ,if this keeps up then the courts will have to consider changes in lifestyle people in society really want and not reclassification of alleged child abuse trumped up cases in closed court.

This week saw parents climb on board a double decker bus which eventually is heading out to europe with their cases .We all say the same this draconian rule has simply got to stop, the public & the media should now be allowed inside to stop these kangeroo trials taking place. The identity of the child can still be kept  anon. The other Identities of Experts & social Workers can not be kept anon. Only when this request is accepted in the public interest    we will see fairer trials  in (closed )court

What is interesting is the children they seem more clued up than the general public, as we all know  gossip is bad for business. I wondered, after being subjected to the insider dealings of court just were their future vote will go, also what career will these children  go into when they are adults.

I was left without any  doubt these are the next generation coming through a system in the future as  parents ,who will be armed with and prepared for the arrival of the corporate parent: looking for future generations of likely targets for adoption or children being abducted by the state for want of a better word.I  have to say eugenics is very much the guideline which has been handed down since Margaret Thatchers day ; Margaret Thatchers child ! meet the children on the bus they are adamant in saying

 no to your ideology.

Thanks for having me on board the bus I enjoyed seeing everyone again & look forward to the update on the demos. A special thank you to Arnie who done the first of the many videos released on You Tube well done everyone keep up the good work.

On holiday from taking a holiday

I started this travel blog and must now confess due to health problems I have not done much travelling at all, for well over 2 years now.

This is  mainly due to lack of £££££££ $$ $$$$$ or the simple man's slang: of  the lack of serious dosh. So  having had major surgery way back  in September 2006. I would like to say that thankfully   I have made a good recovered from this, however the major problem I have now got trouble with is  arthritis which is debilitating enough to stop me travelling for the time being. All signs my body is telling me I am getting old ! lol

I have however managed short trips to London, Liverpool, Birmingham , Colchester, Sailsbury , & Cambridge  to see family & friends  .

I have been to visit the city of culture which is my birthplace Liverpool. I suppose the tourists from other destinations around the world would consider this capital of culture as any other great city.

So making the most of what I have I will begin to start posting the recent photos also some photos of past holidays of us as a family from 2000-  2008 .

Life is going at such a fast pace I never got time to post them before so now I will have to start to make up for lost time blogging and join in with everyone else who is blogging about anyone and anything that moves or moves them.

So make room for me I am coming through to join in the epidemic craze going on in bloggers world.

London

London

Even though I live near to London I never cease to be amazed at the places to visit . On Monday I went up to Westminister to a seminar in the House of Commons ,later I went to do some shoppping in Oxford St . I met a lone street musician playing sax and I asked  the guy for his permission to record for You Tube as there is such a wealth of talented musicians. I was hoping to find someone playing in the underground as the acoustics are fantastic under ground.
Later on I went to see for myself teh new St Pancreas International Station which is a dircet link with Euro Star. Here are some of the photos of the architecture and famous statues. I especially love the statue of Sir John Betjamen the famous eccentric

Wednesday 23 January 2008

We have been to Cyprus about 5 times now the longest stay was back in 2000 we stayed for 35 nights. After 35 nights you get a genuine feel about the place and observe the diversity of the people who work and live on the Island. You also drop the tourist part and operate like the locals  do ,using the  same lauderette and the same supermarket ,also  listening to all the gossip  as it is a small place what the Irish call the goldfishbowl , everyone knows everyone and his mother.

The papers are in English and you can find lots of information such as where to  go towhen the kids are bored and it is raining . There is always the  pictures, also there is an adventure playing ground just like home from home for the young children. On a rainy day you have to be prepared for young children and entertain them indoors or stay in and get cabin fever choiceis yours!  Or alternativly you could ride on  the bus on the loop till the rain stops and find....... GO KARTS  which are brillaint fun and very fast ,orif you like a quiet peaceful day there is always the  Aqua Marine life see the aquatic  floating sea creatures of all desciptions  this is invariably  what we didif we got stuck for something to do .

The first hotel Maraniki.................

This was a small hotel needed demolishing if truth be told LOL.

There are some  Russian People who walk to work everyday and then clean the entire hotel single handed. We stayed in a small family hotel called the Maraniki , I could not recommend this hotel. I felt so sorry for the half dead young mother from Georgia that I cleaned the room and took off the bed linen for her and generally done most of the cleaning before she arrived.

We moved out of there  to  stay in The Land of The Kings  which was more family friendly ,also had a bonus  of  a large swimming pool ,also it lacked   the added extras such as mice  , and holes in the ceilings and no electricty at various times throughout the week. Something that I could not getover or  used to paying for for 5 weeks. I side tracked the Olympus repand packed up my case got in a taxi and headed of for a 3 minute journey to paradise. Heating hot water lovely apartment. At night time returning from Sid's Bar , we would duck down low as the bats would circle outside our apartment you could almost reach out and touch them they came so close  . It was fun rather than scary ............

It has moulded me into who I am today surviving and coping in a foriegn countries  single handed with a young child.
To complete the holidayin 2000  We ended it with a 3 day cruise to Egypt which was a gruelling crossing in an electrical storm. We survived this journey and took a lot on board from this experience too. If I could get through this I could get through anything in life!!!!!!!

Moving on now to night time entertainment in Pathos  There is a famous bar called Sid's you go in for a pint & a sing and come out with a pair of spectacles as his son is an opitcian. So folks be prepared to get roped in for a new pair of specs if you want to be in with the New Crowd.

In Sid's Karaoke  Bar which  known for its fine singers/entertainers  , some of which were awesome I have to say none of your usual screemers you usually get on holiday ,or either we just went in on the right nights . Karaoke  no holiday would be complete without this , Christos was a bar person/ entertainer of Turkish nationality . This man was a jack of all trades singer,  pot man , Cypriot dancer  you name it he done it  .He  would often as not look for a light weight person  which at that time was you guess it us .   Myself, and also  my son who was 4 years old at the time to take part in his act.  It was frightening to say the least, however I did not like to offend him in anyway at all and when on holiday  you relax up a little & take part in the show.It has to be done.

The act was to pick the table up between his teeth with myself perched  on it or my son.I nearly freaked when I returned home and found this illustrated on TV , the act went wrong .
Fortunately for us we were in good hands, or should I say teeth LOL.

I do love the island, to have returned so many times you have to like something about the place.  You can experience three seasons  in one day, you can go up in the Troodos Mountains which have snow on them it is certainly cold enough to wear winter coats ,   and then later on  you can travel  down to the beach, were you can enjoy   the sunshine  , at least 5 hours  a dayof sun  I think in the winter months.

I may upload photos of 2006 Queensbay New Year  Celebrations , I am  a blog virgin so please bear with me whilst I find my bearings for the first time. I have lots of holiday photos so I will christen this blog and go on holiday soon and then get up to scratchwith current stuff  . This can be my trail run for now .
